Honestly, I was always curious as to why people got so peeved at that line. The protagonist just doesn’t want to become her servant, simple as that. How does him saying “The last thing I want to do is become that woman’s slave” equate to him bashing Rias?

It’s been a little over a year since I uploaded the first chapter of My life as the Protagonist of Highschool DxD, and in that time a number of things have happened.
It’s reached the #1 spot quite a few times, broke countless records of my other fictions with votes and comments, and slowly, a community has been formed over it. Glory be to God first and foremost that I’ve even made it this far what with everything that’s happened recently. And words cannot express my thanks to the ones who have spent time reading it throughout their day. But today, something even crazier happened. As of right now, Book 1 has finally hit 500k views.
Half a million people have at the very least checked out this fanfiction, and I couldn’t be more humbled at this information. I’ll continue to do my best to bring entertaining writing to you all.

Can’t believe I’m actually about to say this, but, chapter 50 has been published!
Man, it’s been a long journey to get this far, really. The fact I’ve even managed to make 50 chapters so far is surreal to me, but it’s thanks to God, and of course, you all coming back weekly for more that has pushed me this far.
