Hello! Thanks for the compliment; I worked really hard to get where I’m at in my art! If you want a short answer, it’s really just practice. If you keep drawing, you will start to look back and see what you could change to get better. Something that really helped me when I first started getting serious about art is to copy other people’s work. This sounds sketchy, but this is okay to do as long as you do it for your own personal growth and to not post this online or sell it. When you copy someone else’s art, you’ll start to see how and why they chose to draw or paint something a certain way. It will familiarize yourself with the topic, and it will be easier when you try to do your own artwork in a different pose. Photo studies are also a great tool! Unsplash has a ton of awesome royalty free images, so if you copy these, there won’t be any negative impact (to my knowledge). Some people also offer pose references. Taking photos of yourself in poses you want to do is also extremely helpful! Watching YouTubers draw is also a great thing to do to learn some drawing techniques. I would also suggest creating a Pinterest board where you can save ideas and things that you like to get inspired :) The bottom line of all of this: do not be afraid to try new things. If you’re too afraid of messing something up, you’ll be hindering yourself from growth! Keep at it, and you’ll learn a lot :) My Instagram where I post my art is the same name as on here, Kelseydragon17. If you want to practice drawing by redrawing some of my artwork, feel free to do so! Just ask before posting, and be sure to tag me ;) Best of luck in your artistic endeavors!
