At the moment, my life consists of reading, writing, acting, school, Winter Guard, and volunteer work. Perhaps it's not the most exciting existence, but it's enough for me.
I read, for the most part: fiction, sci-fi, and fantasy. I have enjoyed the occasional non-fiction work, but--as I read to escape reality--that particular genre has never struck my fancy.
I write fan fictions and scripts in my free time, as well as the rare school-assigned short story. I (with the help of others) am currently in the process of a Harry Potter, Marauder Era story about a family more magical than the rest; a series of horror shorts centered around a masked murderer by the name of Vigil, a horror movie about a group of teenagers researching vampires, and another horror movie about a band of friends camping with an angry ghost.
Every script I write, I perform. My friends and I have created a group named Olaf's Acting Troupe (OATs)--so named for Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. I plan to act and/or write for a living.
I am in the middle of my freshman year of high school. It's...interesting, to say the least. At school, I am an amateur photographer/journalist, a member of Student Voice, a future Spanish ambassador, an artist, and "a star student" according to my teachers. I have a GPA of 3.9, having had an A- in art class.
My Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional Saturdays are spent spinning flags and pointing my toes. I complain about it nearly every day, but I'm proud to be part of such a kind, competitive, and supportive team.
I plan to have over 100 volunteer hours before I graduate in 2020. At the moment, I have roughly fifteen, and this year I plan to work at Fear Fair, which will complete my goal before I even end my sophomore year; during October, I would earn about 200 hours.
