//so ik a bunch of you don’t know this but I’m Indian. I have Cherokee in my blood, but I look white. I have dark hair and dark eyes but I just look white (my mom is white but my dad is Indian) and today someone said that I shouldn’t be an Indian for Halloween. I tried to explain to this person that the clothes I’m wearing for Halloween are LITERALLY part of my culture. They called me racist and I was like.....stfu and leave me alone. I’m a fucking Cherokee Indian. LEAVE. ME. ALONE. And no, I’m not mocking my fellow Native Americans, I’m simply wearing the outfit I wear for our Thanksgiving Powwows because I couldn’t find anything better to wear. People amaze me.

@HEADMISTRESSES //honestly I wouldn’t be offended if someone dressed as an Indian for Halloween. As long as they took the time to PROPERLY wear what represents our culture, I wouldn’t mind. But if they’re just using it to mock us I would. I’m sorry that’s happened to you. If someone is taking their time to learn Spanish, I wouldn’t have a problem with that. It’s racist to say someone can’t dress or act like a specific culture. Like damn. That’s not racist if you’re actually being respectful abt it
