My name is Kent J Straight. Lynx was essentially a pen name from my younger days until it started to behave a little more independently from my usual personality and behaviors. Since, Lynx has been my reference to what I personally believe is a second personality to some degree.

Anyway, I have been writing since my childhood. I think I wrote my first short story at age four or so. It was actually a spin-off of an R.L. Stine Goosebumps title. My elementary teachers loved it and I loved writing it. It became habit. I also fell in love while in elementary. Love? Yeah I know the likelihood of there being any truth to that statement is slim, but call it what you want, the relationship and eventual separation had a very profound effect on my life. The emotional trauma that resulted from the separation taught me a little something about this shit called sadness. Later sadness introduced me to something called depression. Through depression came misery and loneliness. Eventually agony. Suicide introduced itself and that's when childhood became a lot more interesting and do did this new love hate relationship with writing.

My life is my words. Honestly, I don't write much these days. I guess 20 years of emotional stress and self imposed trauma is enough. With everything I have written and compiled, I often wonder if I have anything left. Maybe that's why I'm here.
