The next chapter of FaR is... uh... a bit of a struggle. Finally, after multiple cliffhangers/slow chapters (sorry, will edit i promise), we'll get to the turnaround.
Not writing this turnaround overly verbosely into another cliffhanger, though, is proving somewhat difficult. Well... getting there.
in light of recent events and news, however:
what the actual f*** is the police doing? this isn't even 'overreaction' any more, this is as bad as if not worse than some 2nd world 3rd world countries. looters and rioters is one thing, but whaaaaaa? press and seniors? cardboard-signed crowds a solid 20,30, 40 meters away? last i checked, those weren't the spot to be using pepperballs, batons, and tear gas. The armament isn't in and of itself a massive issue (it is very suspect), but the complete lack of fire control is a massive issue, lol.
seeing how a bunch of people decide now's a good time to take a stance, i might as well put a low-key opinion out there.
I get it, some police are stupid. I get it, the very background african americans have really doesn't help them get out of poverty. I get that now's more frustrating than ever.
But that doesn't excuse property damage and rioting. You're poor and angry, so you're gonna go and make everyone else as poor as you are? That's not constructive. That's not productive. That just gets everyone pissed off and nobody happy. Protesting is fine (albeit I personally think that it isn't useful if you use it too much), but once damage to physical things starts being dealt is where I draw the line.
The base cause isn't wrong. The methods taken are.
tfw you get inspiration for what the 3rd part of the book should be but you haven't gotten inspiration for finishing the 1st part of the book.

FaR part 2 is SoL, though the dawn of that part is a bit far away.

really wasn't sure how much I wanted to timeskip, how much I wanted to drag out, so it took a long while. expect the next chapter to come slightly faster.
so, for the few people who read my gibberish [mind you it's very creative gibberish], how are you enjoying FaR so far [haha]?

@KerbalSpaceNeeerd bahaha creative gibberish indeed xD so punny. Ayye dude, you're plot is honestly really creative though and nothing like I've read before--it's a unique world and story and I can't wait to see where you go with your writing and the characters!!
New update to Dredging the Past. Working on splintering it out to its own book... now-ish.

well, I'm not dead anymore, I guess. Check out excerpts, it's the only place where I'm remotely active, if you haven't already. That is, until I migrate Dredging the Past into its own book.

also, the book'll probably be titled "Forget and Remember" :P and include another set of the mc's being adorable in an SoL setting :P
