            I am pretty new to Sci-Fi, I mostly like to read classics, specifically classic horror, gothic type stuff. From those that I have read, most of my favorites were from my childhood. The "Jedi Apprentice" series (Obi Wan is totally my favorite) is one of my favorites. 
            
             As far as movies...it's technically "Steampunk" but Disney's "Treasure Planet" is probably my favorite movie of all time...period.

@JillanePurrazzi I haven't read all that much Sci-Fi, actually. I've read Dead Space: Martyr, a sort of prequel to the games under the same name. I usually read more fantasy and such. I recently picked up a whole bunch of Sci-Fi books on Amazon for little to no price, since they like to give them away from time to time. 
            
            As for movies, I can't say no to the Alien series (even if they're considered Horror. I think of it as more Sci-Fi with Horror elements.) and I adored Starship Troopers. Hm. What else. It's actually been a while since I've sat down to watch or read Sci-Fi... That might be something to do over the week before I start work on my little Sci-Fi project.
