          Nargess defied convention. She was going to walk through hell—if that’s what it took—to find her freedom after twelve years of oppression. She tiptoed around the rules, broke some, and protested others in her own way. This time she had crossed a dangerous line that put her family in danger. The Ministry of Cultural and Islamic Guidance were coming for her children and the only thing she could do was grab them and run. 
          
          “Homestretch” is a first-hand account of the harrowing adventures of an immigrant family in search of freedom from tyranny and religious persecution. Their story is a vivid reminder of the promise America holds for those arriving on its shores: freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
