Hi I’m the author of between the redwoods thank u for taking the time to read the story. I was wondering though how do you mean more depth to the characters and details?

@Sydneycl2050 More in depth to the characters means not only giving them a backstory but showing thier soul, personality and such. I should feel like I know them after finishing your book. By details I mean to be more descriptive. You need to describe the setting and everything regardless of how you feel. It may seem unnecessary but if I don't know where a chracter is, what am I imagining. Books work best when you have a description that helps the imagination work best.
