          Pay special attention to the timeline in that sentence.
          
          Now since you can't find it anymore, you time travel back and go to the place where you put your card and put it in your wallet.
          
          Now the time line went like this:
          you put your bank card somewhere, you go outside or sm, then you come back and it's not there anymore, so you time travel back and put the bank card on your wallet.
          
          But what the actual timeline goes like this because time always moves forwards.
          
          You put your bank card somewhere, you go outside, your future you comes back and puts the bank card on your wallet, your present you comes back to find that the bank card is missing.
          
          There is no two timelines, everything happens in one single timeline.
