So my newest book just got rated mature and i’m pissed. Most people that can related, that that have gone through what i’ve been through, weren’t “mature” enough to endure it. These are problems of the youth of this world, so why should my writing be for “mature audiences” I’m not writing to anyone based on their maturity, i’m writing to kids, teenagers, my generation as a whole. So no matter how young you are, no matter the rating, go. read. my. book. This is for the brokenness of our youth, not for adults to scout.

Is there ever a time to discontinue a poetry book? I’m so scared to complete my main poetry book and start over because i’m scared that I won’t get as lucky with the traction.

Writing and publishing your stuff is all about trial and error; you don’t know what will happen until it does, and if it doesn’t work out, you learn what you need to fix. We don’t grow or evolve until we’ve failed and gotten back up again. I've failed a couple of times, but then I found out that I needed to work on being a better poet. You've got this; just do what you feel is right for you. You’re true fans will love and support you

I'm so excited for you. It was scary and a lot for me at first; only my friends knew about my poems, and they encouraged me to post them. It's been a year now, and I've had lots of ups and downs. Just never give up on what you believe in, and don't let anyone get you down. I will say that as a poet, it's hard to get likes and votes on this platform, but don't let that discourage you from posting or doing what you love.just keep at it until you reach your goals and dreams
