The person said they think Jefferson might have been against slavery and would have added something about it in the constitution but didn’t because he was afraid of backlash from the others.
            
            Then I pointed out that the fact that he slept with his fourteen year old slave and kept her a slave until he died, and had six kids with her, and he was also the president who owned the most slaves, the total being over 600, kinda knocked all “possibilities” that he was against slavery…..I think I won the debate because they haven’t responded yet…
