People say the hardest person you could lose in your life is your best friend. But this coming Monday I’m about to lose my best friend, Scout. That dog has been with me through thick and thin for the past three years. He’s the kind of friend Who would lay with you when you’re sad, play with you and make you happy and forget all of your worries. So when I found out that we had to put him down because he had been biting people I was so heartbroken. And I didn’t want to believe that my dog would ever hurt someone. Until today. Today my dog had bit me too. It really made me see what kind of dog he had become. He will continually bite people and attack whenever someone is near. That is why I have to let them take away my best friend. And it is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I have to give up my buddy in order to keep people safe. Including myself. Even though after all he’s done. I still see that excitable puppy, that friendly dog who laid beside you when times were tough. I love you Scout.
I will never stop loving you.
