          	Is it getting taller?
          	Having to duck when walking under low-hanging branches?
          	Is it getting smarter?
          	Knowing more about multiplication and exponents and binomials?
          	Is it being more cold?
          	Empty from the killings and the shootings and the bombings?
          	I look out the car window.
          	There's a dead animal on the road.
          	I just saw one yesterday.
          	Are they dying more quickly?
          	or is it because I'm finally tall enough to see the road?

          	  To grow up is to learn the world around you isn't black and white, good or bad. 
          	  Growing up is learning the grays of the worlds, those thin lines you must not cross. 
          	  
          	  It's about learning the bad in this world, and knowing we can't do much to help it. 
          	  Learning that some things happen without reason, and there is nothing we could have done. 
          	  
          	  But, it is also learning how to cope. 
          	  Learning who your friends are. 
          	  Who is there for you in your darkest moments, and hugs you, telling you it will be okay. 
          	  It's about learning how to find the light in the dark, the hope in the void, the stars in an empty sky. 
          	  
          	  
          	  Growing up is moving on. 
          	  Learning how to adapt. 
          	  Living with the good and bad. 
          	  Shedding demons and hopes alike.
