Thank you to everyone who read and followed my book, Ten Days, Ten Pounds. It peaked at #1 in Carnevale!

I'm taking it down to polish it up for publication. Thanks @Wattpad for the excellent evaluation tools, they really helped! (I am not sure if anyone actually read or enjoyed it; I never got a single comment. But I did get a couple followers looking for a hookup so that was neat.)

Check out the introduction for links if you would like to keep connected. Or subscribe to my posts or news on my website!

Happy writing to all of you!

I have goosebumps about my last chapter of TEN DAYS, TEN POUNDS, a.k.a. #10d10p. My memoir wrote its own ending a month ago when, on Valentine's Day, a friend I'd made on my trip to Italy in 2015 came to visit. It was one of those weekends when everything clicks together, falls into place. I mean, here I was, presenting at a writers conference, and a character from my memoir literally showed up in the room!

But I just went to revise the ending. Because while he was here, my friend caught a fever. He made it back to Italy just as the pandemic began. The next week they canceled #carnevale. And now I'm left wondering: could my friend have been Patient Zero?

Happy New Year, writers! I'm back at it... I'll be posting chapters of TEN DAYS, TEN POUNDS daily through mid-February. When I last posted, I had just descended from Mt. Vesuvius and had a feeling something inside me had changed... read along as I revel in domesticity and then rebel in reveling before I return, changed inside, to the mess I left behind.

800+ reads and no comments yet! I invite you to be the first one! Every time I put a new chapter out, there's at least ONE sentence in it that sings, makes me swoon! That feeling, of saying something in a new way, is like a paycheck from my soul. Is there anything that gives you that feeling? That feeling that only great writing can?

Lol, I just figured out how to post a comment... hello all. I'm hosting a writing retreat today and hoping to get more done on Ten Days, Ten Pounds. I got halfway through and then realized the 2nd half needed some re-structuring. Always an adventure! Always improving. Writing memoir is interesting, travel even more so... because as time goes on you reflect more and understand more about what you were going through in the crazy moment.
