For my Beatles fan friends and Paul readers, and anyone who enjoys a well-written, intelligent story about 1960s London, I would love to introduce you to two new writers in the Beatles fandom who have recently blown my mind with their talent!

First, @Hadorii is writing a Paul story set in 1965-66 called Yeah Yeah Yeah which is the highlight of my week. Her characters are so brilliantly created that I think about them long after I've finished a chapter. Her original character, Alice, is cool, calm, and collected, with a secretive past. She is intriguing yet somehow utterly relatable. The perfect love interest. Also, @Hadorii has an amazing gift for writing in Paul's POV.

After reading Chapter 1 of Yeah Yeah Yeah about the Beatles in the studio, I accused the author of being Paul McCartney. She claims this is untrue, so it follows that she is most certainly a time traveler. Read Chapter 1 in which the author is a fly on the wall in the studio with the Beatles and you will agree. I've laughed and cried my way through this lovely book more than once and she hasn't even finished it yet.

And then, in only two chapters, the second new Beatles writer @All-The-Letters swept me away to 1966 avant-garde London with her new story The Lonely People. Her original character, Beatrix, is working on her first novel when she meets Paul McCartney at a party peopled with art dealers and literati. I adore learning about Swinging London and learning slang from a true Brit. I'm thinking, this is a great story about the London scene in the 60s, I'm learning so much, and then BAM: Paul enters the scene and the attraction between Paul and Beatrix absolutely sizzles. I felt how he left her flustered, confused, and aroused. I felt ALL the feels. THIS is a story to watch.

Both Yeah Yeah Yeah and The Lonely People are on my bookshelf. So happy these two brilliant writers are writing Beatles fan fiction now! xo

I just have to tell you- this story is so very good. It’s my happy place. I go back and re-read it whenever I can.
I also appreciate the recommendations you gave “The Loney People” and “yeah, yeah, yeah” both amazing.
          Just ..thank you.
If you ever write any more, built in fan right here.

Kristi_Lane

@hulamila This means so much to me because IYA was my first attempt at writing and I still go back and edit it frequently and wonder if I did those characters justice, being so new at it. It makes me so happy to know Marisol and Paul touched your heart because I still think about them almost every day. Thank you! xoxo

@hulamila Thank you so much for letting me know this! Which story is the one you go back to, All In Good Time?
I’m glad you’re reading The Lonely People and Yeah Yeah Yeah. They’re both such amazing, well-written stories and I’m enjoying your comments too as I read ☺️

Hello friend,

Once more I found myself rereading the Paul and Lainey time-travel story. It's one of my go-to Macca stories.

Any chance somewhere down the road of you writing a sequel or dribbles on the story?

I'm curious to know how life pans out for Paul, Lainey, their friends, family and future.

          :)

@Maccagivesyouwings I hope you’re all better from that blasted Covid! I’m well (had my Covid over the summer) and leaving for a trip to Italy/Spain/France in a little over a month (but no England, sadly)

@Kristi_Lane I totally understand. :)

Recovering from a bout with Covid over here. Other than that I'm okay.

How are you? Hope things are well.

Thank you for the story recommendations! Just wondering when you're going to start writing again :)

Kristi_Lane

@TillThereWasMe haha no I’m head over heels for the Beatles… or arse over tits as they might say across the pond! I was just editing IYA this week and dreaming up some new scenes but I can’t imagine investing so much time writing any time soon. Thank you so much for caring about those stories, it means the world to me! xoxo

I hope “under control” doesn’t mean you’re not a fan anymore . I still go back to your books frequently. They’re my absolute favorite.

@TillThereWasMe I don’t know! I don’t have the urge to write at the moment. I think my books evolved out of new Beatles infatuation and I’ve got myself under control somewhat now! I hope you’re well! xo

It's my pleasure, more than happy to show my support it's the least I can do ♡♡♡ I know what you mean, the beatles are lovely...hey maybe you can write a sequel for the time travelers book too, if you want or when you have the time...I can't help but be curious how Lainey and Paul's life would continue on after she decided to stay with him, also if George will even know about his grand daughter ( can't help but be curious how he'd react and especially knowing she's with Paul of all people lol)...your characters are so well rounded and your writing is extremely high quality, it's so rare finding such quality writing nowadays, keep being awesome ♡♡♡ and please let me know if you do a george fic ( he's so sweet and so underappreciated it's a crime lol)
All my love from your #1 fan

@shahdg You are so kind, thank you! You never know, I still think about Paul and Marisol a lot and I do miss writing. These stories were an absolute labor of love when I first discovered the Beatles, and I can’t imagine investing so much time writing about any other band. Hours and hours of research and writing time, which were an absolute joy because I was so ate up with the Beatles ❤️

I'm in love with all in good time book, you're a genius author....
Other than the beatles what other bands do you like?

shahdg

Of course I'm more than happy to support such a talented artist, I'm currently re-reading the book since it's so awesome...yeah I love a bunch of the British invasion bands and classic rock music bands too, the beatles are fascinating and you did such a wonderful job portraying them in your story ♡♡♡ I've just been wondering would you consider a sequel to the book or a oneshot series based on the book? Also if you would be interested in writing other stories based on other bands- like led zeppelin, Robert Plant is awesome...let me know what you think...I love your work, please never stop blessing the world with your art, seriously your #1 fan

@shahdg thank you so much, I’m so happy you liked the book! It was the most fun for me to write. I love all the British Invasion bands and classic rock music and singer songwriter/guitarists like John Mayer, but I’ve never been fascinated by a band’s story like the Beatles
