          I recently took down my story, Ice, and started publishing it to Tapas about a week ago. I never in a million years would have thought it would gain so much traction so quickly. It’s gained 28 subscribers since I started posting chapters. I know that may seem relatively small for some but for me, the fact that I know I have 28 people interested in my story is absolutely amazing, especially since it didn’t do so well on this platform. 
          
          I’m not trying to diss on this platform at all. Wattpad is a very diverse place and there are a lot of amazing and incredible writers here. It’s still one of my favorite platforms to find stories to read and I still plan to post content here. It’s just that the stories I wanted to do well weren’t exactly taking off or gaining views. (hash tags and other sorts of promotion also play a part which could have been an error on my part for not properly promoting my work)  
          I was curious to see if my story, Ice, would do better on Tapas and I have been pleasantly surprised. People are showing an interest and engaging with my work on an almost daily basis. It’s more than I could ever ask for. It’s also amazing motivation to keep writing knowing that there are people waiting for new chapters. Should any of you wish to read Ice and follow it to its completion, search Ice in the search engine for novels. @bekaboo2013 is my handle. I have about two or three other stories I wish to eventually move to Tapas so when the time comes, I will make a post about it. 
          
          Thank you to everyone that showed support for Ice. It isn’t gone, just on a different platform where it can reach more people. 

Should anyone read this, I am in the process of moving some of my stories to the platform Tapas. It won’t be all at once since my goal is to finish each story before I add a new one to the platform. I’ll still have a handful of stories on this platform and update them from time to time but they won’t be my main focus. When I was more active on this site in 2017, posting a lot of content and just being active as a content creator, I didn’t get anywhere and people weren’t reading my work. Life happened and I moved to a new country and when I came back, I was surprised to find that one story had a few comments and likes. It honestly made my day and inspired me to write more. 
          
          However, I still wasn’t gaining views or new readers. I love writing but part of what makes platforms like this so much fun is the reader—writer interactions. I want to interact with my readers and see that people enjoy my work. I’ve been using Tapas for about the same time as I’ve been using this platform and I’ve come to really respect it. I never thought to publish there because I was already using this platform.

I’ve been waaaaayyyy to busy to focus on writing :/ but I’m hoping that in a few weeks I can hash out more work!

It’s a little scary how kidnapping and torture can be romanticized and that so many people find it enjoyable and interesting to read. I held out on a story for about four chapters before I wonder if the poor character escaped in the end. The answer was no. He became a mindless thing and I was happy I only wasted my time on four chapters. There were 20 altogether but knowing that he never escaped and was reduced to the lowest he could possibly get was highly disturbing and disgusting. I am sad to have stumbled across another story like this. I read one story years back which prompted me to start writing, “Who Are You?” because I couldn’t deal with there being no happy, lighthearted stories on here. I understand that everyone has their own preference but those stories are just disgusting and sad. So very very sad 

I still can’t quite come to terms with reading about dominating characters forcing their potential interests into relationships with them. I understand that people enjoy reading dominating characters but I don’t really fancy reading about glorified kidnappings turned to romance. Or how constantly forcing yourself on someone is okay because “they’ll eventually fall for you.” I value the slow burn slow build relationships where there is a foundation for love and the only thing standing in the way is uncertainty or fear or some other plot related thing. I’m starting to highly dislike dominating characters and reading stories where one character has to be dominate over the other. *rant over*

I’ve been reading a story nonstop since yesterday but I have to take a break from it :/ the art of the articulation is amazing but the plot is at a snail’s pace and I can’t really find it in me to care as much about the characters anymore. It’s very thought provoking but there’s too much circling of thought for any solid foundation to be built. I’m so close to finishing the story yet I don’t really have a reason to finish it. Maybe I’ll come back to it in a few days......

I wrote three new chapters for Ice! Not too shabby if I do say so myself 

I’ve been in such a writer’s slump for a very long time. I got motivated for a bit to hash out a chapter for Ice but it’s just been hard to create. I really want to sit down and focus on a story. I know the types of stories I want to read but they don’t exactly exist all over this site. That’s part of why I wanted to add my bit of creativity here. I apologize to anyone that’s been reading my stories and waiting for any updates. 2018 involved a lot of change with me moving to Japan and starting a new job. My plan is to try writing more for 2019 and update more frequently. To any of my readers out there, I apologize for such a long wait for updates. My goal is to work on them more and update for you guys.

I’m always vastly disappointed when a story ends with such a dissatisfying ending. I feel like I wasted two days of my life
