I witnessed an epic battle between a courageous wave of clouds and the condescending sun

The sun had been bearing down on the field for a while. It relaxed as this day would be no different than the rest, as far as it could see. The falling leaves didn’t bother it much, but to the clouds it meant it was time to get to business. Mustering up its strength, the clouds took on a shape of a dragon. The thick skin (and I mean thick. It was like a bumpy wall of various greys and light purple) quickly covered the blue sky’s shouts of alarm and began barreling towards the sun. The dragon’s ally, the wind, made sure that the trajectory of this attack would not fail.

At first, the sun was terrified to have suddenly been knocked down and the dragon opened its jaws to swallow it whole. The sun acted fast and raked its claws across the dragon. This proved effective as the dragon bounced back, looking helplessly as pieces of it began to float away and blasted to bits by the sun.

An endless cycle (for now) began, the dragon would attack and the sun would prevail. The dragon was getting tired now, the sun was satisfied with this result. It sat down just above the earth, as if this were an easy thing. The dragon was not happy with this. The wind howled with concern as the dragon lunged forwards with sudden unexpected speed and snapped up the sun before it could react.

The clouds jumped and cried with joy, each movement painful as the sun tore it up from the inside. But it was a victory. A victory well deserved.

(I have no idea why I decided to post this, I wrote this before showing it to all my friends and now I think I’m pretty proud of it. So ta-da!)
