Wrath of the triple goddess did a huge amount of damage to Percy’s character. 
          
          First of all, him shitting his pants at the sight of Hecate makes NO sense. He stared down a bloodlusted war god at 12, fought one of the strongest titans at 14, went through the labyrinth at 15, which is supposed to incite psychological terror in its victim, for 2 weeks.
          
          And yet this B list goddess makes him shit his pants? 
          
          I mean when he met Tartarus it made sense a lot. Arguably the most powerful god he’s ever met, so ridiculously powerful that monsters disintegrated at the mere presence of him. Tartarus’s weakened human state fought a titan and a god at the same time and was WINNING. 
          
          So it makes sense for Percy, for once in his life, to accept he was unable to do anything, and run
          
          
          Oh, and Rick blatantly goes against what he himself has written for Percy physically
          
          He’s described as tan, tall, and muscular in Mark of Athena. In SoN, Hazel thinks Percy is a fucking god with how attractive he was. Then Rick goes and makes him pale and flabby (according to Grover), which is against almost everything he’s written before, as well as Percy’s official artwork, WHICH HE LITERALLY HAS ABS
          
          
          
          Rick has 1 more book to fix the collage quest trilogy or else

          And I didn’t even talk about Grover or Annabeth getting written very poorly either

Hot take: Solangelo is HARD carried as a ship by fanfiction. 
          
          Rick’s writing for the relationship is basic tropes and average at best. If it was a Cis-relationship, it would have SO. MUCH. HATE. For it but most of the fandom it’s loved solely for it being LGBTQ and ignore the severe flaws in their writing as a couple
