Wow... It's been a minute, so much so I'm not even sure I should wish you all a happy New Year or happy Valentine's Day since we're almost done with January.
          
          Anyway, not gonna get into details, but life has been shit during the last few months—putting it mildly—and it doesn't seem to want to behave even in the new year... That's mostly the reason I forgot and kept postponing uploading the first few chapters of Beyond the Lights here and the new cover. But it's finally done. I hope you like the changes.

To say "it's been a while" doesn't even cut it. I haven't posted any updates on how the Burn to Rise duet was coming along since the beginning of August. Oops!
          
          Well, hmmm… These last few months have been a crazy and busy rollercoaster, in all possible ways. Not gonna bore you with the details but bookish-wise, personal-wise, and mentally-wise life has been a fucking challenge. Some days I wonder how I'm still standing, honestly. But guess the devil looks after his own.
          
          Anyway, just popping here to let you know that Beyond the Lights is getting published next week, on the 13th. I'll be posting the revamped blurb and new cover here soonish. 
          
          I'm excited, yes, but also super nervous. People who have read the first book are probably expecting the same quality, if not more, which I hope I've achieved after the 857271 rounds of writing, rewriting, and editing alone, with pro editors, and my amazing alpha/beta/proofreader superheroines team—I wouldn't have made it without you, guys.
          
          So, to celebrate this huge milestone, I'm throwing a $0.99 promo for Behind the Lights, the first book in the duet. Beyond the Lights is at 153.616 words! I have only four more chapter to self-edit before sending them to my dev editor and then everything to my line editor... 
          
          If you know me personally, you know I'm not the type to brag and I rarely say something I do is great, but dude, this book... If you liked the first, there's no way you won't like the second. Even if you read the first draft, there are so many changes, you will fall in love all over again. Music, drama, cute moments, lots of steam, Søren and Leah opening to each other like never before, and.... 
          
          I can't fucking wait for you all to read it. October can't come soon enough!

          Publishing has been anything but fun so far. The every day life obstacles and all the crap Amazon is giving me have me exhausted to no end lately. I can't even find joy in writing anymore. But these words just brought the biggest smile to my face.
          
          Behind the Lights is so, so different from the wattpad first draft you wouldn't believe it. And I am so damn proud of it, and all the people it's connected me to. Like this gorgeous human being that I'm happy to call my friend. Meeting  you has definitely been one of the best things of this entire process. Knowing that, no matter what, you have my back the way I have yours, is simply the best feeling. Because true friendship and love don't understand of nationalities and the don't give a fuck about the distance either.
