LIARSCAVITY

AUGUST 1968

The sledgehammer swung with full force down on the head of the man. His skull caved in, brain matter splattered against the concrete street. His nose and jaw broken, bloodshot eyes popping outside its sockets.

Eren stared down at the mess of a man, no longer recognizable. His stomach didn't turn and squeeze with the urge to hurl at the dead anymore. He no longer felt the overbearing guilt or remorse.

There was only an empty white noise that filled his mind.

Arms wrapped around his waist and a head rested against his shoulder, "I'm so proud of you." the deep voice commended. Eren leaned his head against the other’s, his body warming at the praise.

Sometimes, he wondered what his life would've been like if he hadn't met Reiner. If they'd not ever crossed paths with one another. Never knew about or acknowledged the other's existence.

Where would he be in his life right now?

          	One could only wonder.
