Hey there! Sorry if this is sudden, but you’ve most likely been contacted by a scammer. If you haven't yet, either way or not, Here’s what you need to know:

These scammers usually start by trying to get friendly with young or new writers. They’ll compliment your work with vague praise like, “I love your writing!” or “You’re really talented,” but they rarely mention anything specific about your story.

Soon after, they’ll try to push products, commissions, or sketchy links—usually AI-generated images or services you never asked for. This isn’t random: a lot of these scammers originally came from FanFiction.net, where they used the same tactics to target inexperienced users.

What makes them especially dangerous is how they try to build trust first, then use guilt, flattery, or even fake sob stories to manipulate you into giving them money or personal info.

If this has already happened to you, I’m really sorry. You’re not alone—many others have been targeted too. But if you’re reading this before anything happened, consider it a warning to be careful. Copy and paste this message to help protect other writers you know!

           Key signs to watch for:

          Vague compliments

Asking to chat off-platform (Instagram, Telegram, etc.)

Offering AI art or paid “support”

          Emotional manipulation

          Rushing you into decisions

If you're a kid or teen without a bank account, good—you're harder to scam. And if this message gets flagged for spam, just know I’m only trying to help. Stay safe and trust your gut! And yes, I did write this with AI. Use fire to fight fire I guess! Copy paste this over everywhere. - TheRheNheYhe
