It's official! I will no longer be doing anything on this app, as I am now writing a book to be published and It will not be Florence. As much as I love Wattpad, I have noticed that the algorithm is pushing down my book and bringing up books that are just porn or NSFW books.
And because of this, I do not think that I will return to this app or website, whatever you use to access this. As much as I love this website as I've already said, I have to leave it because of what's going on. I also have to leave due to personal issues and that I am in school right now and I can't do anything on here because I have a lot of homework.
I know that a lot of you, my followers, joined my page because I wrote the books you liked and you thought they were good. You will probably see that I am irritated with the way that Wattpad has been pushing down my books and it has made me feel that I don't belong on this app or website.
I know that everybody loves my books, my followers at least, and I have to say that it is kind of sad that I'm leaving. I've been part of Wattpad for almost 4 years now, and it does hurt that I am leaving. But the reasons are very just and I feel like that this website or app, is starting to become like it's other fellow book publishing websites.
On these other websites, they promote "X reader" and many other books that contain inappropriate content instead of books like mine and many others that don't get their books shown on the platform.
It is very sad that this happens to other aspiring writers and I hope that, in the future, Wattpad will change their ways, and make it so that those aspiring writers are able to have their work shown instead of the porn-ish books.
