Just posted my new poem, "Looking for Hope", in The Banana Book. It's a positive one this time around which, yes, is rare for me. I hope you enjoy it, who ever you are and wherever you may be right now.

I just posted the first poem of my newest poetry book, The Banana Book. I have been MIA for awhile now but this book is something that I have been working on in my time away from this site. It means a great deal to me. It shows progress in my writing since beginning writing classes in college. More importantly, however, the poems depict some very raw and real emotions. These poems started out as hand-written drafts in a book made from a banana tree. It was where I wrote journal entries in the form of poetry. So, this is very personal for me and I am very proud of most of what I have written (although it is far from perfect). I hope you all check it out and enjoy it! Most of all, I hope that if you are feeling any of these things that I have written about (anxiety, depression, etc.) that this will bring some sort of solace to you like writing it did for me.
