ino and gaara had gone out to the local pub to chat and share a few drinks while catching up with one another. the night had been young, and at first, ino only sipped on one mixed drink as they spoke of the affairs in konoha and sunagakure. they shared laughs and lighthearted jokes , but as the night continued on and the more drinks consumed, the conversations got deeper. more personal.
ino were now leaned against the bar table, dainty hand swirling the drink stirrer around her glass as she stared at the purple liquid within, brows furrowed. “i just… don’t get it, i guess. kakashi messed up so many good things for himself. you, iruka… you, again. why do you go back?” she asked, eyes drifting to meet his. she were definitely feeling the effects of the liquor.

@LON3LYD3MON a small smile would curl her pink lips, glad to hear he was doing better now, instead of in a constant state of confusion. “i’m glad to hear.” she murmured softly, before nodding as he said the future was uncertain. but his question regarding kisame, her expression faltered a bit, moving to fidget with the ends of her hair nervously. “oh, yes… kisame..” she murmured, voice trailing off. she quickly had another sip of her drink, before pushing the empty glass to the nearby bartender to get her a new one. and after a moment, she collected her thoughts. “i suppose charity work is… not always my job to do. he… relapsed into his old ways after being sent back to prison. said he wanted revenge on everyone…. asked me to help him.” she said, slowly, measured. “i… i didn’t want him to hurt my friends. hurt you,” she said that last bit a little quietly.
