I have a BA in English, with the writing concentration and minor in communication from UW-Parkside. I wrote for our campus newspaper The Ranger News, tutored at the campus writing center, and edited for Straylight Literary Arts Magazine. My senior thesis paper "Women Writers: In an Odd Place" won the Teresa Peck award from our women's and gender studies department. I am also a member of Sigma Tau Delta. 

I have always enjoyed writing short fiction and creative nonfiction, but I have really grown to love poetry in the last couple of years. I haven't quite given up on school yet, so I'm throwing around the idea of going to graduate school. I just have to narrow down my concentration...
