You know what's the exasperating thing about moving across state lines, or in my case, national borders? The networking. As a certified introvert with a hobbies exclusive to music and literature, socializing is a tedium I could really do without. But between people trying to find me on Facebook ("No that's not the right spelling, it's Raphael with a 'c' or 'Rachel' with an extra 'a' JEEEEZUS I told you this a million times), explaining that I'm not on Instagram or Twitter ("photos are not my thing", "I can't limit myself to 200 characters") and WhatsApp essentially turning into Snapchat ("OH MY GOD I TOLD YOU I DON'T LIKE PICTURES") and, oh gosh, the constant "we must hang out sometime" and the casual non-committed agreeing, only to want to kill myself when they call saying they were serious and they'll see me in 5 minutes... You see why I prefer lying starfish on my bed reading, right?
So, mostly I wanted to rant about Mark Zuckerberg and why he is so intent on getting rid of product differentiation, but I guess that's a no brainer given the past decisions he's made. But don't ruing texting, man, it's the only thing that keeps me from stumbling nervously on call.
And, on a side note, keep reading my stories, keep loving them, keep voting for them.
Gros bisous,
Rachael
