The guidelines haven’t actually changed; they’re simply being explained in more detail now. So there’s no need to worry that SMVT stories are suddenly being banned or mass-removed. If you use the correct rating, such as Mature for mature content, your story should be fine as long as it doesn’t contain any banned material. Each story is reviewed based on its own content and context. ❤️
The best thing writers can do is read through the updated Content Guidelines and see how they apply to their own stories, since every story and plot is different.
If a story is removed or its rating is changed and the writer believes the decision was incorrect, they can submit an Appeal Request after reviewing the guidelines and explain why they believe the decision should be reconsidered.
