Hey ya'll! Little update on Lost In Prythian.
I'm still working on the story, summer has just been too busy for me to focus on fanfiction over my original novel unfortunately. And now that we're getting closer to the release of the next ACOTAR book, I've been putting a lot of my free time into reading all of Maas's other series for the first time.
They're giving me a lot of inspiration, but also make me want to wait and see if reading the new book changes my mind with the direction my story is planned to take. If it does, I don't think it will affect the point in the story we're at though, so once I get the time, I'll start writing again. I've also been wanting to edit the previous chapters for a while now and will probably begin working on that soon too.
I've learned a lot since I've started this story and would like all the chapters to reflect how my writing style has grown. There's a lot of unnecessary repetition, paragraphs that are structured awkwardly, and some of the dialogue doesn't make as much sense as I originally thought it did--it almost felt like I was reading someone else's writing lol. I haven't decided whether I just want to start a new book with the edited version, or just update the one I'm already working on. I don't really like the idea of having copies of one story, so I'm leaning on the later, even though I hate the idea of losing everyone's comments :/
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me this long! And to all the new readers who gave my story a chance despite not being updated in months. Fingers crossed I can put something out soon!
