Something interesting : in everyday life, we hear the words reciprocal and contraposition being used in the wrong way. Theorems usually follow this setup ; you have hypotheses and consequences. If A => B that means that if we have A, then we'll have B. If [it rains], I [will be wet]. [It rains] => [I'm wet].
The reciprocal is : [I'm wet] => [it rains] which in this case is completely wrong. We, for instance use this for the Pythagorean theorem.
The contraposition is : nonB => nonA
[It doesn't rain] => [I'm not wet]
And fundamentally, the contraposition says the exact same thing as the direct reasoning which is why it's to differentiate from the reciprocal. This is really important, not only in mathematics to actually be fully aware of the illogical reasonings ...
