@LampLighter I’m thinking by season 3 the big heroes have heard of superman since he saved the world from brainiac and set off to recruit him.
            
            Maybe Lex try’s to make them recruit hank? Telling them he’s a better candidate 
            
            As for the no way home aspect maybe since kandor exploded it’s portal tech brought in multiverses
