When I gaze to the world, I see pure joy, compassion, and love. Yet there is pain, brutality, and hatred as well. Though upon closer inspection, both are really entwined, as two of the same. For the world is a work of art, were it not for contrast it would be a blank canvas. Without black you could never seen what is depicted in the white, as without sadness you could never see the happiness. At times we find ourselves lost in either the shadow or highlights of life's great tapestry. But look at the painting in its entirety, and see how both things as one create a truly beautiful work of art. And know that no matter who you are, you're part of what makes it so beautiful.
