I'm a former primary school teacher with a Master of Education degree and I'm currently tutoring students in Maths and English after school hours. I expect to be doing this for as long as I possibly can because I love helping children to improve their school work and to improve their attitude towards it and themselves. I also teach English to migrants on a voluntary basis.
     Prior to writing stories for children, most of the writing I had done was related to my studies and work as a teacher. I did enter two caption writing competitions and won both, and while this isn't story writing, it is evidence that I can be clear, concise and humorous.
   My stories have an Australian flavour.  I write not just to entertain, but to teach (subtle) wise life lessons that are relevant no matter what age the reader is.
