Hello! Beth and I are currently working on another full length story (not POTO, but theater-related!) We're at the point where we split the draft into chapters. I just wanted to ask if you would prefer several short chapters (e.g. one conversation, one turning point, a single beat that's roughly 1,500 - 3,000 words) Or fewer, longer chapters (e.g. A complete emotional turning point, set-up and pay-off, multiple conversations and scene changes. 4,000 - 7,000 words) We tend to draft in the longer style, but I understand that can be very exhausting to read. Currently, the book is about thirty longer chapters. With the chapters broken up more, I can see it being fifty to sixty chapters. Neither option changes the actual word count, just how it's divided.
          	I'd love to hear some input on this, because we genuinely have no idea!! Thank you for the support that you all have continued to give, even with our long hiatus! It mean so much, and we will be back soon!

omg, thank you for replying! We really appreciate it. Chances are, we'll go the shorter chapter route because that's been calling the most to us thematically and pacing-wise. Either way, we're so glad for your enthusiasm and can't wait to get the book out!

Hey… sorry in advance but right now I'm writing a fic and for the life of me I can’t think of a name for the orphanage in it… of I was wondering if I could “borrow” the name of the orphanage in a girls desire? thanks

not_a_hamster73

@LatestParis_Style so I just posted the first chapter and would be absolutely honoured if you read it!

Y'all, Beth just quit her job so she'd have more time to write. We have big plans for 2025... big plans.

@LatestParis_Style well that seems like it needs to be looked at

@itsghostking nah, I'm barely an adult, and Samantha's even younger. I worked for fun, but it was awful. Questionable staff (like should be banned from working in that industry kind of questionable). Company really needed to be audited for revenue issues (I didn't even know when I was getting paid, and the owner didn't even have me fill out any tax paperwork, which btw, is illegal.) Anyway, before the police got involved, I decided to dodge that bullet.

            BUT I DO HAVE TIME TO WRITE MORE FANFICTION!!!

Speaking of Labor Day, 'To outwit an Angel' will be out by November 1st. I promise 'Labor Day' will make sense when you read it lol. We're very sorry for the delay, but this project was much bigger in scope than we anticipated, but I swear this is our best work yet, and we're jumping off the walls excited to finally assign the project a confident publishing date.
          See you then!

I am proud to announce that, as of last night, To Outwit an Angel has become a complete first draft! The book exists in some sort of full format!!! Now, it's on to developmental edits, which Samantha and I will leap right into come next week. For now, we're taking a few days of a much-needed break.
          Can't wait to share the adventures of these two wild protagonists with you guys!

Also, I love your theme!!

@LatestParis_Style Yup, they definitely have!!

@MDjarin17 yes, the friendship between them never fails to make Samantha and me smile! (Hence our profile pic). We hope our fics helped your need to get deeper in this rabbit hole!

@LatestParis_Style No problem!! I've quickly spiraled down the POTO rabbit hole in a matter of 3-4 months, and I absolutely love Meg and Christine's friendship. My obsession (not unlike the Phantom's in intensity) is also why I have three phanfics (one being the first in a series) and more planned.
