The April writing contest is here! The theme is WATER! Take the prompt any direction you like. Water can be metaphor, it can be crucial to the plot, it can just appear momentarily in a line of dialogue or be part of the scene. It can be life-saving or dangerous. The only question is which direction will you take it?

Sorry I've been away lately! Our newborn is currently running my life - full stop! I take little moments to work here and there when he's sleeping, but he basically only sleeps if one of us is holding him, so I have him sleeping in a baby wrap against my chest at the moment.
