@lukesnukes I feel like it’s just a different kind of book and both styles are valid, sometimes I look for books for there excitement and escapism which would be like Harry Potter and his quest and battles and the escapism and comfort of Hogwarts and the possibility’s. Yet I feel like this book has a really interesting twist where it focuses on the dissatisfaction in life a lot of readers will probably experience and that people in general will experience as time goes on. I feel like this book from what I have read so far is very cathartic, the main character isn’t magic wielding or powerful yet is admirable in her own right which I love and is very inspiring (I feel like this is who Petunia could have been in a way). I really love the possibility of exploring the London Blitz and the more historical background of this time period which I find interesting and isn’t commonly explored much and really how her and Tom’s relationship develops. So I look forward to reading more!
