Updated the joel fic series! Still one more prompt to go, but i added some clarifying setting stuff (sometimes i get caught up with making a scene interesting/desc character movement and all that and forget about the scenery sorry for any confusion in the future haha):
          
          He was starting to rant again. Sunlight only just stretched over the plains, setting the two in shadow. The shack had a rich smell of freshly cut trees (new planks lay across the fence line for the cows). Gem sat on the level above the family fella, dangling her legs.
          For the second prompt:
          1. His head whipped around. Clear automated doors revealed Jimmy in his stupid denim jacket and scarf exiting the shop. He took one look at a feral joel and his squished car and absolutely lost it.
          
          "What happened here joel?"
          
          He finally said when he caught his breath (still giggling tho lol). The gas station was empty, but the static sound of rain made it feel whole. Thunder rumbled over head.
          
          2. "Get in."
          
          He deadpanned. But the family member seemed serious (With the motion of the fall the little axolotl toy head still rocked from its string on the rear view mirror).
