Just a random thought during my random drive:

I'm binge-watching a regional show about an estranged daughter who wants revenge on the woman who gave birth to her and abandoned her at birth. Her plan to expose and humiliate her mother is in full swing when a major twist drops.

It turns out there's a much darker "Sleeping Beauty" story behind everything. The mother had been assaulted by three men when she was around 16 or 17, went into a coma, and gave birth while unconscious. She never even knew she had been pregnant. In the end, the mother and daughter reunite, accept each other, and share tons of love left behind for 25 years.

And recently I jumped into a reel about a pak drama with a similar plot, where the mother had been assaulted in her sleep and spent her life resenting the child born from it, often being shown as the antagonist.

This made me wonder: Is a woman obligated to love a child conceived through assault?

Why do the movies and shows portrayed women in such a way that she should love the child even if she doesn't want to?

@DuskyMe lol, it's not Vyom's sister because, Vyom's father is a doctor and Director of AIIMS. Not a politician.
