Happy Halloween ya'll

Also yes, hi, it's been awhile since I've posted anything new. I'm still planning on doing more oneshot requests especially the Spooky Stories series 
          
          It's just that uni has been kicking my butt alot in the past couple of weeks

Smg4 ending this year was not on my bingo card 
          
          Of course it's been running for like 10 years at this point so all things must come to an end at some point. Also burn out is a thing

If you're a person who wants  to harass people who caused problems in a fandom while wanting to tell them to go kill themselves, you're not the fandom's hero
          
          I don't care if you're a kid or an adult, wishing harm on a certain group of people is not okay. End of story 
          
          For context: I saw a post on the eddsworld subreddit who wanted to go on witchhunts to find people who aren't even in the fandom anymore for most of the fanbases past  controversies 
          
          Forgot to add that they also wanted to target shippers as well. For shipping two characters together in a healthy and non-illegal way 
          
          Listen, you can hate what people do and criticize them but wishing them harm is a step too far

Sooo a new pilot just dropped and it's a Homestuck pilot which I wasn't expecting to hear when Spindlehorse announced it and I still can't believe it exists 
          
          If you haven't heard about Homestuck, it's a webcomic from 2009 that follows four kids going on a adventure and it later introduces these characters named trolls and the story kinda loses all sense after that.
          
          I'm going to be really honest, I've never understood Homestuck and have tried reading it but I would just drop it after experiencing a lot of confusion 
          
          Anyway the pilot, before the pilot dropped I sat down and read through act 1 which the pilot covered beforehand and here's my thoughts on it
          
          The Pros:
          - it's animated very well especially the whole John vs Dad fight which amazingly done.
          - at first I wasn't on board with the voice acting but I thought VAs did well
           I especially liked Jade's performance 
          - I liked how Karkat only had one word to say at the end which came out of nowhere and managed to get a kick out of me
          - I also like how made the chatlogs through phone calls which was smart
          
          The Cons:
          
          Okay, what the hell was with the pacing? Act 1 of Homestuck is notorious for being slow especially for new readers  and that they wanted to speed it up a bit, but it didn't have to be that fast to the point where you couldn't keep up.
          
          It doesn't help the pilot was 11 minutes. It shouldn't been 20-30 minutes for you know more character moments. When you're making a pilot you want your viewers to be eased into your story.
          
          Listen, Homestuck isn't easy to adapt due how convoluted the story can be especially if you're trying to rewrite like I am. You have plan carefully and know where to make sacrifices so the story can make sense.
          
          I doubt that Homestuck will get a full animated series if they want to introduce the story like this foe newcomers.
          
          I also don't like how Dave was portrayed in this. He talked way too much. He isn't like this in the comics so who's idea was that?
          
          I give the Homestuck a 7/10

          I got them on fanfiction net, then ao3, and now here on wattpad of all places. The only place that's safe is quotev

          ....... it was okay I suppose but it should've been the boys instead. That's just me
