Hello! My name is Sidney Saxsma and I am from a small town in Illinois. I am 14 years old, but my age does not stop me from following my dreams.
I have a lot of health issues too, but they help me with writing. Writing calms me, especially when I have my mental health issues flaring.
Someday, I hope to become an author. I want to be an author because I want to show people how powerful words can be. I want to show people that there are other people in the world that will help and care for them, no matter what. I want people to know that there are people out there that have been through what they have been through.
Eventually, I want to write a book about a girl with health issues. I want this story to follow my life yet be made up. I want younger kids, around middle school or high school age, be able to read this book and say, "Wow... there are really some people who have gone through what I go through on a daily basis,"
If I ever accomplish this, I just want some people to know that it is okay to be different. It is okay to be unique. Its okay to be... YOU!
I know I am mostly just rambling on and on... but I just find it so crazy how so many young adults don't understand- or refuse to understand- what life is like for some people who go through hell. Some people just don't seem to even care to try to use empathy.
I mean, I have been through it. I get it. At times it feels like you are trapped in an invisible box that is slowly getting smaller and smaller. But some people... some people have never been through it. I want people to have the ability to look at things differently, even if its been for just one day.

Well, now that I have probably bored you with my delirious rambling, now you know that this is me.

My Ag Story
This story is a story I had to write for AG. I got a really bad case of writer's block and never continued...
