I’m so sorry y’all, it completely slipped my mind to post today with everything that’s been going on. I had friends on campus at UVU and who live right by there, and I saw way too many close up videos of the shooting happening so I’ve been trying to check up on my friends and make sure they’re ok and then take care of my own mental health which still hasn’t been great.
And this whole thing has been just been all too real and scary given that my family was just involved in a homicide investigation two days ago because the suspect ran across OUR FRONT LAWN immediately after he shot and killed someone driving by, and our cameras caught footage of him running.
This all makes me sad and tired of the world we live in. No human being deserves to die because their opinion is different than someone else’s, no matter what side you’re on. And no one’s wife and children should have to watch their husband and father die, and have it recorded and spread across the internet where they will never truly escape it. I strive to keep politics off my social medias because that’s not what defines me and I want to respect the beliefs of all my friends and followers. But this is a human’s life.
And on the day before 9/11 Remembrance Day, when we should be coming together to honor the victims and remember who we are as a nation, WE THE PEOPLE, not “we the government” or “we the political parties”. Not create more victims out of senseless rage.
You are entitled to your own opinions, but any comments made that are disrespectful or rejoicing in any part of what has occurred today and other such tragedies over the last week will be deleted. I don’t condone hate towards any person or party on my platforms.
