I just wanted to post this now in case something actually does happen. So I’m based in the U.S right now and I really don’t know if everything that’s been threatened to be banned actually will be. But I believe that it was in the talks to ban things like fanfiction, that being the sites like Wattpad. If this does happen, then I don’t know what will happen to my account. If it’s still up, I’m sorry if I’m not able to update due to me not having access. If it disappears completely, thank you for all your support these last few years for loving my fics and my separate stories. I appreciate every single one of you. But if Wattpad never leaves, I will graciously continue my work on this app like nothing happened. So tomorrow, January 19th 2025, I’m going to be holding my breath and crossing my fingers. If I can, one day I will be coming back to this site to finish everything that I started for you guys.

@LeeroyLoveMarcy28 The TikTok ban was the Biden Administration and Congress, not Trump.  Trump has said he would like to at least give a reprieve for 90 days while looking into a solution that TikTok proposed.  Wattpad isn't in the same category as TikTok and isn't owned / operated by PRC and CCP so the issue which caused the ban (since the would sell) in the US, and by the way, several other countries,  won't impact Wattpad.
          	  
          	  As for "Project 2025", don't buy into the BS that was peddled during the US election cycle.  It was written by a far right think tank group.  Trump denounced it and said he had nothing to do with it and it's not "his playbook".

@bthsteph @alice123456789 basically there’s the whole Project 2025 thing that’s been threatened to put in place. And it includes banning things like different kinds of fiction and adult content. And because Wattpad and other writing sites carry fiction that sometimes involves mature themes, it’s one of the things that might go within the next four years

If you came from my Instagram or Tiktok then you've seen that I have made post saying that I will write specific stories on there. I still plan on doing so. However I am very busy and not very good at consistently updating. I definitely will create the stories I promised but it will take time.
