I never imagined myself using writing as a hobby. It wasn't until the pandemic that I began writing as a passive diversion. After self-publishing three novels, I've developed a terrible habit of conjuring up stories like those in my first anthology, 'The Argo.'

Everything I write is spontaneous, a small thought growing from nothing. All of it is influenced by my life, or what I thought my life would have become. The military creates the deepest impression on my stories; adventure and fear, pride and honor, then and now, but above all - romance. 

I believe that every young man who puts on a dashingly handsome uniform for the first time imagines themselves a prince, the warrior, and everyone's savior. It's only after a dose of reality that our aspirations are tempered, but the same virtues remain. Every story I write invariably links to one of those ideals I strove for as a young(er) man. 

Although I've been brought down a couple of notches, I still dream and think above the skies, through the stars, and to a place where the human spirit is truly free. 

I know it's juvenile, but when I think of writing, I can see Peter Pan, Wendy, and the boys flying over London, away to Neverland in a beautiful, wonderful scene of childhood where anything is possible.

With every story I write, I ask everyone to do one thing: suspend disbelief. 

Let go. If you are still young - levitate. If you are a careerist like me - just breathe.

Every story I write is different, a simple thought coming to me like a sudden stop in time. I've never cared much for conventional structures, though some aspects are included. If anything, I hope someone finds one of my stories mildly interesting or provides them a brief escape.
