I am a Hong Konger and with the recent events happening here at my beautiful birth place, I would like to plead for forgiveness for my fellow teens. China may seem nice and harmless but we Hong Kongers never forgot about the TianAnMen incident where tanks were rolled in and fired at the protesters. About 10,000 people died, mostly students. I love Hong Kong for its beautiful scenes and its uniqueness. What makes Hong Kong different from China is that Hong Kongers have freedom. Hong Kong is supposed to be a democratic city as opposed to China's communism. I love Hong Kong and would like to protect her from being tainted.
I apologize on behalf of my fellow Hong Kongers for any inconveniences and disturbances and I plead for forgiveness and support. I am still not 18, so I am not allowed to join in anything political to help. But I can help by spreading the truth:
It was the police who shot the woman's right eye. There is proof. The bean bag that blinded her is photographed stuck in the woman's goggles.
The protesters involved in violence are mostly in a gang/cult that promotes violence, so it is not valid to say that all protesters are violent or are rioters.
I am a protester myself and I agree that sometimes we went overboard. I apologize deeply. I love my city. I wish the world to understand that us Hong Kongers deeply value or freedom and would like to keep it intact. I also wish that the world can support us and see the monster the Chinese government really is.
I would like to apologize again and plead for your forgiveness. #FreeHongKong #antiELAB
