Remembering how one of my classmates never showed up to lectures or anything, and every time we all checked in to see what he was up to, he'd be doing something absolutely batshit insane.

Like WDYM, you're in the middle of a desert?! Midterms are TOMORROW, and you're on camelback in the middle of nowhere!!

The most recent check-in while we were all off somewhere together, we see his Instagram story has updated and think "Huh, what is this crazy mfer up to now" and mf was doing Olympic trials or something similar (it was definitely olympics related, though) and we all just agreed he was probably better at everything than all of us combined.

We never really talked to him, we just followed him at the beginning of the term and never followed up, but he's like a celebrity in our friend group and doesn't even know it. It's hilarious.

Whenever I get back to writing a book after a long time, I always reread the entire thing first so that it pulls back up the memory of all the small details I didn't include. It makes no sense, but if I don't then boom: the whole plot is going in an entirely different direction because one object or persons existence was forgotten.

@LemonSqueezys Hey, look, when I thought I'd start up again and didn't! Hopefully acknowledging that won't jinx me this time!

I should probably say the reason I'm away right now,

I am very, VERY sick! This is by no means something I'm not used to (Illness comes free with my crip slip), but this bout is hitting me hard, and I've developed something funky in my leg.

Point is, Sick = Migraines = no writing for the time being. I'll try to update when I'm a little better, but my main priority right now is seeing a doctor and making sure the leg funky isn't cancer or some shit. Probably just a cyst, but better safe than sorry!

Hope y'all have a wonderful day, and I'll try to update soon,

@TheDeadRat thank you! I hope it's nothing too bad since I truly love writing. I hope you have a good day!!

@LemonSqueezys Don't worry about writing or updating if you're sick, Lemon. I hope you get better soon, but if you're not in the mood to write or sick, don't try to force yourself!

You'd think that "A song of Scouring eyes" would be inspired by "The Mandalorian", wouldn't you?

          BUT NO,

IT WAS INSPIRED BY JUNE AND HER SHIRSHU

          (SPOILERS)
Brawler is built like her Shirshu, with his ability to track things cross-continental and freeze things in place, as well as being blind! The whole armor code thing was on the spot, and I only realized how similar to the Mandalorian they were when they refused to take their helmet off! Although the main character has his reasons for not doing it, they're just more like Spiderman's reasons than Din Djarin's reasons.

I've come to the realization that my chapters would be better if I didn't try to pump them out every day and just gave myself focus time. In the past, with other books, I would force myself to write every day, often late into the nights (think 1-5 am). Because of this, each chapter would be 1-2k words and varying in quality due to bad sleep.

After stretching one chapter over 2-3 days to test the waters, and realizing that I got a lot more done and made a much more fluid story, I've decided to stop pushing myself to my limits. This of course means the chapters will come out every few days instead of every day, but they'll be much longer than 1k words (5k per chapter average) and also of better quality.

It will still be my priority, though, since I'm a bed-bound cripple with literally nothing else to do, so don't expect it to end anytime soon! I always finish my stories.

Other books to expect in the future:
•Sokka x reader with a special firebending twist that I haven't read about yet. This one has been in the works for as long as spirit speaking (2 months of planning).
•Definitely a sokkaxzukoxreader since I'm a poly folk and can't choose between two for the life of me. Still going over what the premise would be though.
