I wish she didn’t have to leave. I wish she met my boyfriend before passing away. I wish she’d see me get married, and meet her great grandkids. I’m going to miss her so terribly at every important milestone.

I miss her bombay toast. Just french toast, but with a desi name. I miss her cooking and her smile.

I remember cleaning her room to furnish it as mine, and I found a newspaper cutting of her hometown in India. My heart ached when I saw that.
