“Mrs. Wheatley was lying in bed. She had a hand on her head with the fingers dug into her hair as though she had a headache. Beth walked over to the bed. Mrs. Wheatley did not look right. Beth reached out and took her by the arm. Mrs. Wheatley was dead.”

@emptybrainedwriter I like, genuinely just read that page five mins ago. When I saw the “Mrs. Wheatley was dead.” I felt a chill down my spine. Like—that had never happened to me while reading whatsoever

An actual conversation I had with my dad:

Me: “The other day I saw two kids fighting over a new album being released by a very rich artist. They kept saying that a new album wasn’t necessary because the artist was ‘too rich’. Isn’t that so stupid? I mean—I personally believe that music is not just for money, but also for joy. It is an art; which expresses and reveals opinions, feelings, and experiences.”

Dad: “well, whether it’s stupid or not is their opinion. You never know; what if they were greedy? There is no such thing as a fact here. It is an opinion.”

Me: “Yeah that’s why I said ‘personally I believe’; because its my opini—“

Dad: “but no one cares about your opinion.”
