I have been given the chance to have my story published as a novel. It’s an honour to be a part of William Shakespeare’s legacy. The novel is a re imagination of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the title is called Romeo & Julio & Friends. This story centres around a 25 year old man called Julio Clifford, who is Black British and South African. He returns to London after breaking up with his Husband, Hassan. He reunites with old friends and through those meets the energetic, enthusiastic, confident, articulate and handsome Romeo Moses. He is a 29 year old White British man. They begin a friendship that leads to something greater although Romeo has a girlfriend who is Julio’s sister’s childhood best friend, Poppy. As this tale goes forward, Hassan arrives in town pretending to be there as a coincidence but is attempting to reconcile with Julio while also harass him.
