Lesley-Anne Evans is Belfast, N. Ireland born, grew up and spent her early career days as a Landscape Architect in Toronto, Ontario, retired from consulting in 1993 and moved to Kelowna, B.C. in search of a slow life where wild things are. She enjoys photography, cooking, wine tasting, and the occasional cycle for coffee with her equally creative husband. Her three young adult children and one hound keep life endearingly messy.
Lesley-Anne's website is at http://laevans.ca/
Lesley-Anne placed in poetry contests such as the S.L.S. Unified Literary Contest, Concordia University, and Pandora’s Collective Poetry Contests. CV2, UBCO’s Lake Journal, Sage-ing Journal, and the Leaf Press poetry collection,”The Weight She Holds,” edited by respected Canadian poet Patrick Lane, include her work. She was selected for a Banff Centre poetry residency in 2011. Lesley-Anne signed with Leaf Press in Fall 2013 for the publication of an Oak Leaflet of her work.
In autumn 2012, Lesley-Anne launched her initiative Pop-Up-Poetry in Kelowna, B.C. With sights set on spontaneous installations of poetry in public places, Lesley-Anne has pinned up hundreds of poems and received much positive response and excitement from the public. She continues to pin poetry to trees, fences, stop signs, bus shelters, outhouses and other more obscure places.

Most recently, Lesley-Anne became Festival Kelowna’s first licensed Performance Poet, popping up to read poetry in random locations in the city. Lesley-Anne continues to push the boundaries of personal expression in collaborative ways with other arts professionals.
Lesley-Anne is working on a manuscript.
