Can someone explain to me why people add someones book to a public list with a name about how awful it is? Like honestly? Ive had so many people tell me how good inevitable tides is and its been entered into the watty awards (not saying it has a chance of winning anything but it was entered) and instead of reading and deciding you dont like it, you add it to one of like 7 lists you have that is just straight bashing authors and books. Just remove it from your reading list and move on? Like whats the point of adding it to any list labelled horrible things that the author of the book gets notified on?
Inevitable tides was added to someones list thatnwas named "dropping it, so bad" and this same person had like 8 different lists labelled about how bad the books were or how bad the author is.
Thats insane to me. I have read so manybthings and if i didnt like it i simply removed it from my library and found something else. Why do people feel the need to belittle authors? If you dont like something fine, why call it trash, bad, etc because theres thousands of people who disagree so its straight up just your opinion. This is why I as Lesly will never get any social media, nor will i ever give my real name. The way authors are attacked or bashed is sad and really doesnt make us want to keep writing. Just something to keep in mind i guess.

@TheDwarfedDuckling I do. I've been having writers block with it but I also had planned on getting feedback on what I had and then tweaking things to self publish on Kindle/Amazon but idk if I'm still planning on that.
